WARS FOR FREEDOM
Often we hear we should support the troops because they are fighting to keep us free. Oh really, from whom?
How many wars for freedom have we had. The unastute mind would say all of them. So look at the wars we fought.
First, the Revolutionary War, or as some call it, the war for Independence. That was truly a war for freedom. The war of 1812 could also have been a war for freedom. It certainly was a war for economic freedom. Of course, that will never happen since our Government gave our economic freedom away to the Federal Reserve and the International Monetary Fund.
Then there was the Civil War. Could that have been a war for freedom? It was for the South.
All three of these wars had economic reasons. Colonists began fighting because of the tea tax. The War of 1812 was fought over trade issues. And the Civil War was fought over tariffs.
See about the war of 1812 here... www.history.com/topics/war-of-1812
So, economic freedom could be the reason for these wars. But what about the rest. Did World War 1, World War 2, the Korean war, the Viet Nam war, the Gulf War, War in Afghanistan, the Iraq war, etc., have anything to do with our freedom? I should say not. Our freedom wasn't being challenged by any of the "enemies."
If the Military wants to fight for freedom, they should be fighting Congress. It is Congress that has been taking away our freedom. The Patriot Act has eliminated our 4th Amendment rights. Congress has been passing Gun Control laws taking away our 2nd Amendment rights. They rather much eliminated the 10th Amendment. And there may be Amendments that may have been inappropriately ratified, such as the 16th Amendment which allows our Government to steal our money from whatever source they choose.
So Congress is stealing our money, and our freedom. Seems to me war should be declared against Congress. Congress is the enemy.
