In case you missed it, here's the February 25, 2018, Fox News Sunday With Chris Wallace....
In the first segment, Chris Wallace interviewed Governor Rick Scott of Florida. At one point he says he believes in a the Second Amendment, yet he has a plan to infringe Floridian's Second Amendment rights.
He says, "I'm a dad, I'm a granddad and I'm a Governor." What this Governor is doing is teaching his children and grandchildren that it's okay to break an oath, essentually lie while taking a legal oath. In other words, commit perjury.
The last paragraph of Article VI of the Constitution says, "The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States." www.usconstitution.net/xconst_A6.html
Governor Scott took an oath to support the Constitution, which includes the Second Amendment.
The program today played a clip of this speech...
It's obvious that Governor Rick Scott does not understand the words, "shall not infringe."
Now he gives us his version of what his job is. He says, "you have to weigh individual rights, which I clearly believe in. I believe in the Second Amendment. But you also have to make sure that you protect your citizens, your kids. And so you have to weigh these things." He goes on the say, "I'm going to make sure guns are not in the hands of the wrong people."
He went on to say he won't ban weapons but what you need to do is, "ban certain people" from having a gun.
Governor Scott, that is the essence of the Second Amendment. Do you not understand the phrase, "the right of the people." Bearing arms is a right of the people, and it doesn't specify the kind of people.
This is my plan. Repeal all gun laws in the United States, and at all levels of Government, whether Federal, State or Local, and we must support and defend the Constitution, including the Second Amendment. Our Second Amendment is about self defense. If a crazy person starts shooting in a crowd, that crowd should be able to return fire in defense of themselves. The people wanting more gun control is saying those people should not have the right to defend themselves.
I have said several time in various venues, if you want gun control, go live in Chicago.
I know someone might ask what my plan is to keep schools safe. First, support and defend the Second Amendment. Second, eliminate the U.S. Department of Education. Get the Federal Government out of Education. Let the States and the parents make educational decisions.
MAKE AMERICA CONSTITUTIONAL AGAIN
