The Responsibility to Protect and Serve

The above article makes this statement, "The police are under no legal obligation to protect you because you have the inalienable right to protect yourself. That right comes from God not government." This is what the founders believed, and they gave us the tools to protect ourselves; the right to bear arms.


This article also explains that it is not the responsibility of the police to protect individuals. And the Courts have ruled that way many times.

These facts have forced me to adjust my thinking a little. I have always been 100% pro-Constitution, including the Second Amendment. And I also never seen where the Government had any authority to protect individuals from themselves. Now I am seeing, Constitutionally, police have no responsibility at all to protect anyone.

The second article states this, "Before the mid-1800s, American and British citizens - even in large cities - were expected to protect themselves and each other. Indeed, they were legally required to pursue and attempt to apprehend criminals. The notion of a police force in those days was abhorrent in England and America, where liberals viewed it as a form of the dreaded 'standing army.' " We are seeing in this Country now the police are looking a lot like a standing army.

It seems police are becoming more and more tyrannical. Perhaps it's time to get rid of them. Of course, so you can protect yourself, we will repeal all gun control laws, as they are all unconstitutional anyway. Shop owners can have a gun. When some comes to rob the place, get out your gun. If they are unarmed, they will probably flee. If they're armed, shoot. Same for home owners. I venture to say incidents of home invasion will go down.

If you don't have or don't want a gun, you can hire someone that does to protect you, your family, your store, etc.

When I am President I will work toward the day when the right to bear arms in defense of yourself will be protected. I will veto any budget that includes all unconstitutional spending including money for the States, for any reason, including police. We need to go back to community policing.
