ANTICHRISTS

I really don't want to make my Presidential campaign about religion. If it influences politics in America, and our Foreign Policy, then I believe it must be addressed.
This is in response to Lisa Haven's video, "Meteor Hits Iran & Bang! Islamists Say It’s a Sign of Their messiah-The Christian Antichrist," which you can see here:
Several times she mentions the antichrist, as if it is a specific person. Biblically it is not. So, lets see what what Scripture says about antichrist. Only one New Testament writer mentions antichrist, and that is John, and not in Revelation, which is important to understand. Many believe John talks about a specific antichrist. He does not.
I John 2.18 states, "Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye heard that antichrist cometh, even now have there arisen many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour." Here John is saying they were in the last hour, and that they heard the antichrist comes. Then he says many antichrists have risen. And he did say that is a sign they were in the last hour. For this to be important today, we would still have to be in that last hour nearly 2000 years later.
I John 2.22 states, "Who is the liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, even he that denieth the Father and the Son." Here John informs that the liar that denies the Father and the Son, Christ, as John Hagee has done in his book, "In Defense of Israel," is antichrist.
I John 4.3 states, "and every spirit that confesseth not Jesus is not of God: and this is the spirit of the antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it cometh; and now it is in the world already." Here John mentions the "spirit of antichrist." It is the spirit of antichrist that says Jesus is not of God. Anyone having this spirit will say Jesus is not of God. When he says you have heard is comes, and was already in the world, he was referring to the spirit of antichrist. Not a man, but a spirit.
II John 1.7 states, "For many deceivers are gone forth into the world, even they that confess not that Jesus Christ cometh in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist."
These are the only places in the entire Bible where the word "antichrist" appears, at least in the American Standard Version, which I have quoted from, copied and pasted form biblegateway.
So what does John say about antichrists? There are many antichrists, and they were present at a time he called the "last hour." He says antichrist was spiritual. One thing he does not say is that there specific person that is "the antichrist," that will be coming at a specific time. There are those that combine what John says about antichrist with parts of Revelation, which as Don Preston is fond of saying, is just poor exegesis. It is improper to combine one part of Scripture with another without good reason to do so. For example, parts of Matthew 24 and parts of Luke 21 are parallel accounts of Jesus telling the disciples how to know when the end is near. But, here in John's letters, there is no connection to Revelation except for having the same author.
But, there is a connection to the end times in that he said, by this you know we are in the last hour. That was an indication that the end is near. Not thousands of years in the future. This futuristic theology is rampant in the United States, and it is false. And unfortunately, this false theology has influenced our Foreign Policy, which is why many believe that Israel are God's chosen people, that their Messiah has yet to come. This is what Christian Zionists teach. But we know from the New Testament that the Messiah has come. And he died on the cross for the sins of his people, and the whole world. We know that he was raised from the dead by the power of God. If Jesus was not the Messiah, he sure was a masterful fake.
This is what Christian Zionism and Futurism leads us too. It is an antichrist movement.
The word "antichrist" simply means "against Christ." Anyone who is against Christ is antichrist. Scripture never points to a specific person.
How does this affect our politics? How many times have you heard people point to some leader as being the antichrist? Hitler was. The Pope often is. Several Presidents have been. Some claim Barack Obama is. And, until the American people learn the truth, they will still be pointing fingers at someone being the anti-Christ. This could affect how people vote. Instead of voting based on Constitutional issues, many Americans vote on religious issues, and I believe that is dangerous based on the condition religion is in here in the United States. The American people are being told lie after lie by people like John Hagee, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyer, and many others.
Down through history many things have been done to hasten the "day of the Lord." It is not beyond the realm of possibility that people vote for leaders they believe will accomplish that. It is also possible that is why people believe we should be in constant war to make it appear like we are in the end times. Just think of how many soldiers have been and will be killed because of this false theology? Not when I'm President.
The advantage of having me as President, is not only will I keep the oath to "preserve, protect and defend" the Constitution, I also have a good knowledge of Scripture, and I will not allow false theology to influence any of my decisions, or policies. The truth has set me free, and when I become President, America will be set free as well.
If you understand, I ask that you...
