INVESTIGATING FACEBOOK
by Tom Lineaweaver
When President I intend to launch an investigation of Facebook. Follow me. If, as suggested by this Article: Facebook Spying on You for the Government, Facebook is spying on the American people for the Government, they become an agent of the Government, hence are limited by the Constitution, specifically the 4th Amendment which states,
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. constitutioncenter.org/constitution/the-amendments/amendment-4-search-and-seizure
This is how the 4th Amendment is explained at the above link...
Protection against Unreasonable Search and Seizure: The Fourth Amendment protects people against unreasonable searches and seizures by government officials. A search can mean everything from a frisking by a police officer to a blood test to a search of an individual’s home or car. A seizure occurs when the government takes control of an individual or something in his or her possession. Items that are seized often are used as evidence when the individual is charged with a crime.
The Fourth Amendment imposes certain limitations on police investigating a crime and prevents the use of illegally obtained evidence at trial. But it does not restrict all searches. For example, courts have ruled that school officials may search school lockers and require that students who participate in extracurricular activities undergo random drug testing.

If Facebook, as an agent of the Government, is seaching and seizing private data of the American people, without a warrant, they are in violation of the 4th Amendment, and there should be an appropriate punsihment, such as at least a 1 billion dollar fine, and perhaps jail time for all involved. Of course, that will be up to a jury to decide. If the investigation shows that Facebook is violating the 4th Amendment, the Attorney General in my Administration will file charges.
If Facebook claims they are acting as a private citizen, and that users of Facebook authorize Facebook's total control of the data on Facebook, the judge would probably deny the case. But, if the private citizen is working on behalf of the Government, it is as if the Government has done it, as is the case of illegal searches and seizures. www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/searches-private-citizens.html
However, if Facebook is giving that information to an enemy of the United States, that is treason. And, I believe the United States still has the death penalty for treason... www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/2381
In my personal investigation of Facebook, I have concluded that they are spying on the American people. The questions that needs to be answered, are they spying on behalf of any Government agency? Are they giving information about the American people to an enemy of the United States? If the answer to any of these questions is "yes," then Facebook must be held accountable.
It would be nice if Congress would do this investigation whether I'm President or not. So, people of America, call your Congress men and women and demand this investigation.
