ENERGY INDEPENDENCE
by Tom Lineaweaver
Article: Dangerous New Oil-By-Rail Rules 'leave Communities At Risk Of Catastrophe
We often hear politicians talk about energy independence. But, are they really serious? In my opinion, they are not.
It's a well known fact that fuel can be made from the hemp plant, yet the big oil control Government won't allow that. That will change when I am President. I will urge Congress to repeal all laws that prohibit the use of industrial hemp. This was part of my platform when I was running a write in campaign for Governor of Pennsylvania. And it is part of my platform in my effort to become President of the United States.
It was part of my Economic Plans for Pennsylvania, which can see in this Article: My Economic Plans
Here's the part of that Article about a Pennsylvania Hemp Industry...
PENNSYLVANIA HEMP INDUSTRY
You see the title, and wonder, "What's that." Well, it's nothing yet. But, as Governor, I will pave the way for a Pennsylvania Hemp Industry.
1. We can make fuel out of hemp.
2. We can make cars in Pennsylvania that will run on that fuel.
3. We can make kits that will convert current cars so they can run on this fuel.
4. There is a host of things that hemp can be used for.
There is a statement at hemp.org that says, "Hemp is one of the most diverse plants on the planet, and could literally supply most of humankinds needs for fuel, food, clothing, building products, and medicine. Despite its usefulness, hemp is illegal to grow in the United States."
When I become Governor I will urge the General Assembly to allow hemp to be grown in Pennsylvania, and used to make a variety of products. I will also urge the General Assembly to consider the medical applications of hemp.
The claims at hemp.org can be independently verified.
The benefits of a hemp industry in Pennsylvania are obvious. Coupled with lower taxes and reduced regulation, we can repair the sagging Pennsylvania economy in agriculture and industry. This in turn will also bring more revenue into the State so we can pay our bills, repair the infrastructure, and take on numerous projects that we can not now.
I realize this might be trampling on some strongly held Republican principles. Therefore I suggest Pennsylvania Republicans become open to being educated about the many uses of hemp.
We can become energy independent. No more 3-5 dollars per gallon at the pump. Once we get this industry in full swing we could see 1-2 dollars per gallon at the pump.
Also, this hemp industry will bring much needed jobs to Pennsylvania.
As far as I can see, there are far more pros than cons to having a Pennsylvania hemp industry. And, we can become the leaders in this new industry. Other States will see our success, and go in the same direction. Imagine, no more oil wars in the Middle East. We the people of Pennsylvania can begin peace in our world. Liberty began in Pennsylvania, and it can again.

The difference between then and now is that I want to see a hemp industry throughout the United States. But this will never happen if the corporate controlled Republicans and Democrats remain in power. So we need a President that will urge Congress to do the right thing.
The biggest complaints I heard from people is that, 1. Fuel is cheaper when made in the United States, and 2. People were concerned about lost jobs. But, really, these are not problems. Hemp fuel will be made in the United States. And when the US Hemp Industry is in full swing, there will be plenty jobs. And when my tax plan is enacted, people in those jobs will not be paying income tax, unless they earn $1,000,000 or more.
This would go a long way in giving us a much better economy.
