FREEDOM OF SPEECH
by Tom Lineaweaver
The First Amendment says in part, "Congress shall make no law... abridging the freedom of speech..." While I realize this a simply a restraint on Congress not to pass laws abridging the freedom speech, and it doesn't really establish the freedom of speech, except at the Federal level, and that States could pass laws abridging the freedom of speech if they want to.
However, here in Pennsylvania, in the Constitution, Article I (Declaration of Rights), Section 7 says,
The printing press shall be free to every person who may undertake to examine the proceedings of the Legislature or any branch of government, and no law shall ever be made to restrain the right thereof. The free communication of thoughts and opinions is one of the invaluable rights of man, and every citizen may freely speak, write and print on any subject, being responsible for the abuse of that liberty. No conviction shall be had in any prosecution for the publication of papers relating to the official conduct of officers or men in public capacity, or to any other matter proper for public investigation or information, where the fact that such publication was not maliciously or negligently made shall be established to the satisfaction of the jury; and in all indictments for libels the jury shall have the right to determine the law and the facts, under the direction of the court, as in other cases.

The only time when communication of thoughts and opinions is improper is when it is done "maliciously or negligently," as in the case of slander or libel. But that can never be the case with regard to politics.
Why am I bringing this up? Today (4-19-18) a police officer from Womelsdorf Borough, Pennsylvania came to my door because I talked to Brianna Bilyeu, who is a 17 year old girl who works at Boyer's Food Market in the same town.
At the time I was seeking to be the Libertarian candidate for President, and I have been reaching out to young people who will be able to vote in the 2020 election. And the gender didn't matter. I talked to boys as well as girls. And that was the reason I talked to Brianna. But Brianna seemed very intelligent, and we talked at length about politics. She seemed to understand about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights. She seemed to understand we need to get back to the Constitution. I was really impressed. She told me her dad talks like I do. Of course I said I'd like to meet him.
Because I was so impressed, I looked for her on Facebook. Sent her a friend request.
Well, the police officer said that she filed a complaint because I was "pursuing her." Well, I guess I was, but in a political sense, and nothing else. Probably the worst thing I said is that if I was elected, she'd be a great First Lady, not that I really believed that would happen.
The police officer who took an oath to support and defend the Constitution said that if I continue "pursuing" 17 year old girls I would be arrested. But, he said I can talk to 17 year old boys all I want, but to stay away from girls.
You see what is happening in this Country? Our Constitutional rights are being eroded. And if that is not a good reason to elect someone like me as President, what else is? We are losing our freedom of speech. We are losing our right to bear arms. We are losing all of our liberties in everything. Parents do not have the right to raise children as they see fit. They can't spank then with out being charged with child abuse. Keeping children from the poisons called vaccinations is also child abuse. Property rights are being eroded. And I could go on and on about our liberties being taken away by that precious two-party system.
We simply must get back to the Constitution. Everyone who takes an oath to support and defend the Constitution must be held accountable to that oath. That includes police officers. Today, that officer was violating that oath. Police officers that shoot and kill unarmed people also violate their oath. And, when I am President they will be held accountable to their oath.
It's just a matter of time before the police come to your house and threaten arrest, or worse, if you continue to exercise you Constitutional rights. No man should be shot and killed as he is out playing with his children because he has a cell phone in his hand.
Police must be reigned in. But the current bastard in the White House, and the bastards in Congress are not about to do that. They are the cause of it all. If they stay in office, we will continue to lose our freedom.
